Hi Hooligans,
So I'm venturing up to Chicago May 10th through the 12th to attend a two-night concert (featuring Boris with special guests Young Widows and Pallbearer). Plan on hitting up my favorite record shops, eating good food, smoking weed and being a general miscreant.
Here's the deal -- I purchased two tickets for the show (Friday and Saturday evening) but my buddy who was supposed to go with me has a wedding to attend that weekend and had to back out. These tickets have been sold out for over two months. If you're into noise/psych/drone/doom/ambient/sludge/70s shit, then you absolutely cannot miss this show. Boris will be playing two completely different sets: one of their more conventional fan favorites, the next night a drone show. Pallbearer and Young Widows both shred, as well.
I'd definitely love to get the chance to hang out with some of you guys who're local to Chicago, even if you don't go to the shows. If you do want to go to the shows, it'll be a first come, first serve on the tickets, with them being so limited.
Either way, let me know. Other then visiting with family a bit and hitting up the shows, my schedule is going to be open.
