Canucks won the Presidents' Trophy, huh?

Too bad the only cup the Sedin sisters will have after the season is one to shit in.

Surprised the Panthers/Devils start so late. It appears the BAC's schedule is open after April 10 (Van Halen). If I were to guess the reason, I'd guess TV.

Thanks for throwing your picks out.

Could see Rags out in the first round. Probably out in the second round regardless.

Bruins over Caps. Caps are finally coming together - Holtby huge wildcard. Can actually work for the Caps, but Bs 4 lines just too strong.

Devils over Panthers. Panthers are not really a good team. Don't see this series lasting more than 5. Good for them if it lasts longer.

Flyers over Penguins. All the pundits and wannabe pundits go down in flames, just for shiggles. :flipa:

Yeah, Canucks take out the Kings.

Blues look like a special team, but how does SJ (who is definitely an inferior team) react to not having the usual pressure they have become accustomed to and usually failing. Tough on tough; should be such a fun series. I'll take the Blues, but not a short series.

Hawks over Yotes. I could see this series going long or it'll be real short with at least a couple going to OT.

Predators over Wings. Would love to see the Wings crush the "spirit" of the Preds (as you said), but the Wings won't advance to the second round now that they don't have home ice.

I said all along that the Hawks were underestimating their opponents when hoping for the pacific winner.

Yotes are a good team and hot. Hawks aren't very hot.

My picks:
East:

1. Rangers vs. 8. Senators
2. Bruins vs. 7. Capitals
3. Panthers vs. 6. Devils
4. Penguins vs. 5. Flyers

West:

1. Canucks vs. 8. Kings
2. Blues vs. 7. Sharks
3. Coyotes vs. 6. Blackhawks
4. Predators vs. 5. Red Wings

I could see the Flyers doing it... I really like them, but I don't think they have the defense to do it. Pronger would swing me to pick them, but he's stuck in a dark room wearing sunglasses.

I like the Predators over the Wings on paper, but I still don't think they have the scoring (regardless of Radulov, Kostitsyn and a great popwerplay). I just keep remembering last year against Vancouver in the semi-finals... I don't think they ever scored more than 2 goals in any of those games. If Howard can play like he did most of the season, I think that should be enough to help the Wings get by.

Agree on Schlonger. I think they can do it even without him.

I don't disagree. Earlier I called it a 50/50 coin flip, so given how the teams have performed home and away, I gave it to the Preds.
