The PaleHosed Discussion Thread

A small influx of PaleHosed.Com posters have started posting on CCS. Wondering if any PaleHosed Aficionados can step forward and elaborate on the site/posters/history of the site to give the rest of a little more knowledge.

For reference, PaleHosed is the White Sox site that Lefty/FedEx227 plugged along with CCS when they did their 643 Sports show. Now Lefty is dead from Carpel Tunnel Black Ops syndrome. Sad to hear.

Guys like Fuller, Zoso, Cheeses, Ballz, GaelicSoxFan, Whitesox901, Lefty, Fed, and even myself (Only had around 85 posts) are from there. :yep:

There was a pretty solid history of the board hosted on one of the shitty sites we all frequented-- not sure if someone can find it, but here's the highly abbreviated version:

- A bunch of WSI posters are far too real for WSI
- Zoso establishes White Sox Jnteractive (the J), where posters can be real while maintaining active status at WSI.
- Things became very real at the J, which upset creepy WSI mods who lurked there.
- Creepy WSI mods blanket ban all posters who post at the J.
- Many say "**** it."
- The J links up w/ Hangar18 to establish a somewhat "higher end" messageboard, with the faggy name of "soxandthecity.net" ("The SATCH").
- Prone to crashes and the rampant foreheaded-ness of Hangar, most posters leave the SATCH and move to Palehosed.com ("The Hose")
- Palehosed quickly establishes itself as the most technologically incompetent website on the internet. Through several hosts and software, the board continuously sucks balls.
- It's now in a state of transition to other softwarez...

One thing that I actually like most about Palehosed is The Stump, which is the political board. The majority of my 15,000 posts are in The Stump. There is a nice mix of lefties, righties and libertarians, although lefties dominate the mix if not the narrative.

I never really interacted much with Lefty but from what I can tell, he was some StatGeek™ who hosted an internet radio talkshow. He has not been heard from since his implication several months back in the 1993 Browns Chicken murders...

Me: From the Hosed, I like the amount of Sox posters here, but all the other Chicago stuff isn't my cup of tea, I'm a Bulls fan too and the Hawks just recently became my second favorite team because Winnipeg is back in the NHL. Hopefully the Hosed comes back soon because I don't know if I can post on a board with Cub fans, and I'm not even a Cub hater.

Also, the dumb posting inside jokes at the Hosed were my favorite.
