A lot of promotions so far this year...could it mean the Cubs are getting ready to sell and call up players from the minors? I say yes.

July 8th:
P Austin Bibens-Dirkx promoted to Triple A
P David Cales promoted to Triple A

July 9th:
Oswaldo Martinez was promted to Double A

Thoughts?

This has nothing to do with call-ups, but Kaplan stated that executives around the MLB view the Cubs system 5-10 in baseball. That's pretty cool and good in my opinion.

I do too because he's the one that drafted Cashner and Colvin who's in the majors. Also Jackson who's on fast pace to the majors. Tim Wilken.

Soriano can do a better job than Theriot at 2B, lol. Jackson is not ready for the majors yet, next year I say. No need to rush him.

Maybe but I would want him to gett regular playing time and that won't happen in the majors. Piniella is not going to put Sori at 2B. He did that once in 4 years almost.
