Hey dipshit …. From the article “…Four sacks will always be too many …. the plays on which he had all day to throw”

the article also clearly talks about coverage sacks, which is a kind way of saying the QB cannot read defenses and held onto t he ball too long leading to sack ….

Like I said …. He had all day to throw … was playing against garbage CBs and yet could
Not score points in a game where the OL, D and WR/TE came to play …. Dalton wins this game hands down

and like I said before, this does
Not mean Fields is a bust … but it shows that if we want to win games now, Dalton is the better choice … it’s all good though ….

You seem to be suffering from selective reading - sorry not sorry I outed you :p

You guys said the same exact thing with Trubisky. You either play well or you don't.
Well it's like this, most or many rookie quarterbacks will struggle here and there at first. It's a learning process. So you can't pass judgment on a young rookie quarterback with just a few starts. Give the man time.

Zero chance Dalton wins this game either, but let’s say you’re right...who cares? What does winning more games this season do for the Bears? Are they a Super Bowl team? Hell no. Could they win a playoff game? Not likely. Do you want Nagy to have yet another life if they do make the playoffs? Only if you’re an idiot.
so playing the kid is the right move. He’s not gonna learn by sitting, watching Dalton and listening to Nagy isn’t gonna help this kid at all. Seeing the speed of the NFL until it finally slows down will. Seeing defenses and learning to read them on the fly will. Making decisions better and faster will. And that’ll come with PLAYING.

I agree it is too early to judge Fields …. My point is not whether he is a bust or not .. my point is he cost us this game …. Dalton starts we win this game no doubt in my mind …. Fields had all day to throw and yet kept taking sacks or throwing interceptions where there was no WR for miles or missed a wide open Allen Robinson for what should have been an easy TD

Agree … just stating the fact that today Bears win if Dalton starts …. Being it was the packers I wish we had won ….

Still disagree on that point. Fields wasn’t good, but Daltons not God either, a d Rodgers wasn’t gonna lose today.

Rodgers has only lost to the Bears FIVE times. And one of those was when he was knocked out of the game by SHea correct?

Bears players just have it in their heads, and get so worked up playing him, they constantly **** up.

I do wonder if that is what is holding Fields back some. He knows how bad the fanbase turns on Bears players, so he wants to impress, pushes too hard and makes too many mistakes.

I think it would help a lot more if so many fans had patience with it. They way some of you are acting, you think this team was going places. Spoiler....they're not.

If you didn't start this day expecting a Bears loss, where the hell have you been the last 30 years?

I'm convinced this coaching staff is completely inept at maximizing the talent they are given. Fields hasn't played great, but there is no reason our offense is dead last in passing yards per game and the next team averages 50 more yards than us.

Didn’t have all day to throw, no matter what one writer said. Also threw ONE interception, on a play he thought was free (and should have been), and Robinson slowed up because he didn’t expect it. So “interceptions and no receiver for miles” is flat bullshit. At least try to be reasonable or have some...perspective.

I'm glad to see you don't know what a coverage sack is. @Penny Traitor @nvanprooyen can we have his name changed to lacking Perspective for accuracy?

I know you don't really believe that. For example, in some magical scenario where we can rewind, your life is on the line and you have to say if the Bears beat the Packers with Dalton starting, you wouldn't say Bears win with your life hanging in the balance.

Deep down, I know you don't really think Dalton wins this game.

Oh yeah Fields made a few mistakes but if you think Dalton is gonna play mistake free and not miss any chances your nuts. Yeah if we had Brady, Mahomes or Josh Allen we probably win. Dalton ha ha not so much. He's Andy Dalton dude.

This. Andy Dalton winning that game does nothing. They drafted Fields to be the future QB and Dalton is a one year rental.

I'm not saying he's always going to be a bad QB he's a ton of upside but its true that right now he sucks and pretending he doesn't is silly. He has the upside to be a franchise qb for the Bears though.

Fields was not good today. I still draft him 10 times out of 10 over Trubisky and it isn't particularly close. He clearly makes throws Trubisky can only dream of. In time we will see if he is a mental midget like Trubisky or not.
