yeah, lets stop giving games away, the earlier Thorton, Sale, Pena have to pitch in games the better.

As long as it isn't Thornton closing games, I'll take anyone. Hell, Dews, you should take the mound!!! (I'm being serious!) It couldn't be any worse ;)

im pretty sure i could give up gap hits, 3 run homeruns, and walk a ton of dudes. you're right it cant get much worse.

I understand now and again a closer will blow a 1 run lead here and there. but it seems like we need to be up by 4 plus runs in the 9th just to somewhat relax. It is sad when you are up by 3 and you feel a loss brewing before the 9th begins.

Give him the damn ball if we somehow have a lead vs Jered Weaver.

Anyone but Crain, Sale, and Thornton! This is why i said to hell with it get Mo Rivera lmao!! We'd be 11-1...not that he'd leave NYY anyways. I just believed in getting a "true closer" and leaving the bullpen as is. But who am I...lol i just seen Thornton in save opportunities last year and it was shaky

Santos quietly puts up the numbers to make him relevant in this conversation. Give him the ball and see what he can do. Can't be worse than Thornton.

Crain, while NOT a closer, will flourish this year as a 7th/8th inning guy. Don't overreact on him. It's like the same fools who overreacted with Edwin Jackson.

I was the one around here trumpeting Santos and the reasons for it. I didn't see anyone else wanting him. Of course, he could still blow chunks at it. The problem is that even if he can succeed, I am not sure we can fix the "bridge" to him.
