Any of you dudes have a ridiculous hobby that just drains your bank account? Like you know you're basically just placing cash directly into the trash as you're doing it. The more embarrassing, the better.

I have an unhealthy fascination with zippo lighters. I do not nor have I ever been a smoker. There is absolutely nothing I need a lighter for. Yet I keep buying these incredibly expensive pieces of shit. And there are literally thousands of different kinds, so it's a never ending battle in futility. :(

Lol that's funny. I have none really. With a 3 and 5 year old I try hard to not buy them every toy they want. I also put them in a lot of sports/activities which are too damn expensive like gymnastics, baseball, flag football, swimming and soccer.

Kind of an addiction.

This is really strange.

My hobby would be golf, although I don't consider it throwing money in the trash since it is something I enjoy doing. Can be a bit pricey though.

I don't but I work with someone who does, he flies radio controlled helicopters. Just to get a small one in the air is hundreds of hours of desktop computer simulation and then it's a few thousand dollars for the complete heli, if you have it built by someone. He does his own work and the small ones are around a grand, his biggest is close to 5K. And then there is the inevitable flight that goes wrong and this little fucking hunk of plastic and carbon fiber augers itself into the ground, or the hood of someone's car. Every time he starts talking about this stuff I scream inside my head "What the **** are you doing this for?"

Kind of an addiction.

Now that's a wise investment!

Never seen it.

Golf is aiight, but I actually prefer several other sports that dont cost to play.

Cigars. Love em, costly, nothing to show for it in the end.

I actually smoke cigars whenever I'm in Las Vegas. How much do you spend for your cigars? The ones I get in Vegas are usually around $16 each.

Guns and shooting. Every time I shoot it's like I throw money into the wind.

This actually will be mine once we get some debt paid off and have some disposable income. I already have a section of basement sketched out in my mind

Tax on cigars in TX is minimal so keep that in mind.

There are a few in the $4-6 range, favorite, Rocky Patel, sumatra edge

Fantasy Football is a pretty useless hobby of mine that I spend to much time doing and money even though I think I'm ahead in my career for money.

Nice, what range is that? I'm definitely going to check out some longer ranges when I get up and running.

Along the lines of Gun stuff, but I spend some money buying prepper sort of things.

I do not really consider it wasting money, because anything I buy is truly usable, but I just hope to never have to use any of it.
