I dunno how feasible this is, considering the current trade market and the dearth of talent the White Sox have on the farm, but if I were Hahn my absolute #1 target right now would be Zobrist.

He's an instant upgrade over the 4 and the 5, he has solid on base skills and some pop and he isn't a bad option to hit two behind De Aza.

If it's not possible via trade I would hope that his option gets bought out and the Sox pursue his ass via free agency.

Seriously, Zobrist would solve A LOT of issues.

Thoughts?

I'd :fap: for Zobrist in Chicago even on the South Side. But as you said, it seems like a long shot. He's on the wrong side of 30 obviously but is still a very productive player on an extremely team-friendly contract with options still tacked on. I'd at least call the Rays up and see what they'd want.

he isnt an elite player and no matter how bad the farm is any little league team can trade for zobrist. with that said id welcome him with open arms if it means he is playing 2b and beckham is riding the bench.

He's 31. Will be under contract until 2015 via club options with very cheap buyouts. He plays almost the whole field and since he became a starter he hasnt had an OBP below .346. Sign the guy up.

On a side note, what brought you to thinking about this Roobz?
