Kathleen Kearney, 44, from Canton, Mass., was charged with two felony counts of stalking, according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
Kearney was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Addison Street, near Epstein’s home, Kubiak said.
It’s not the first time Epstein, who was hired in October by the Cubs after nine seasons as the general manager of the Boston Red Sox, has had problems with a stalker.
Peter Gammons reported in an Oct. 26 MLB.com article that an unmarked squad car was frequently stationed on his block due to a stalker when he lived in Brookline, Mass. during his tenure with the Red Sox.
Kearney is scheduled to appear in bond court later Tuesday.
