Matt Meathead is a defensive head coach and yet the defense is performing poorly and getting worse. They’ve played like CHIT against 3 mediocre quarterbacks in a row. Matt Meathead is supposedly a defensive genius or whatever and yet his own side of the ball looks awful. What is this guy even doing? Where’s the discipline and accountability this doofus was raving about all offseason and why is he immune to it?

Up until they traded away some of the best defensive assets, the Bears were running a top 10 Defense in the league.

I will hold my judgment until next season when the staff gets their preferred talent in place either from FA or the Draft. The Bears will have lots of capital to spend in either pool and Poles should be given kudos for taking Pace's trash heap and finding a way to put the Bears in a good position to improve over the next two years.
