Think Thibs adjusts his defense?

So, noticed the Bulls have been really shutting teams down late in games...over the last 3 these are the points they've allowed in the 2nd halves of their games.

3/11 - Hawks - 26
3/9 - Bobcats - 35
3/7 - Hornets - 34
3/6 - Heat - 37

They had a bit of a 2nd half hiccup against the Magic and the Hawks...but lately, that's a helluva stat...

idk what Thibs does at halftime...but man, you can tell the dude is a defensive specialist...his offensive game plan seems to be to score more points than the other team (lol) but his defense has been really, really good late in games.

I think the new coach is one our strongest assets. Normally, i'd say you can't tell the impact that he's having on a game. In this case, we have a clear example of the coaches impact, 2nd half scoring.

I don't get the question in the thread title. I also don't understand why anybody wouldn't think an NBA coach would make adjustments.

Often times, it's very difficult to ascertain what the coach's impact on a team is. I believe this is referencing the fact that thibs had a definite impact on the team defense. You'd think coaches would make adjustments, but rumor has it that D'Antoni doesn't make defensive adjustments.

Good thread. It's obvious that Thibodeau's defensive adjustments each halftime have been superb. It's actually been like that, to an extend, all season long.

Most teams make adjustments at halftime defensively, but not many execute their containments, match-ups, and overall strategy as the Tom Thibodeau Chicago Bulls do.
