Usually, there is 240 minutes available per game for five positions. Given all the overtimes, here's what it looks like right now:

269.2 - 29.2 minutes more per game. We've had 35 total extra minutes. That's insane. Some teams can go through the entire 82-game regular season and play maybe 10 more minutes. We've done this in six games.

Where this helps us is definitely in the preparation phase. I think this series has been worth it's weight in gold ten-folded, and really put Vinny Del Negro in a situation where he is forced to adjust and constantly improve on his sets and rotation patterns.

The fact that this is the first playoff series for Derrick Rose is also a blessing in disguise. After this, I promise you he won't ever underestimate the playoffs, and he might even have a much easier time next year. Because how likely is it that he will average 45 minutes a game and be in multiple tight games that would give any 80-year old a heart attack?

This series (win or lose) can be very beneficial in the long run.

The best part is that all the OT minutes are basically clutch minutes. So you basically had 35 extra clutch minutes at playoff intensity. That's the same amount you'd get in an entire seven game series if every game was close.

From an experience standpoint, that's a tremendously good thing for our guys. You basically got Derrick Rose the equivalent of probably 2.5 series of high intensity pressure minutes in six games.

That's true. Rose has had the ultimate trial by fire in this series. The only way you could realistically get better playoff experience for a rookie is to get him some finals experience.
