This team has shown for a number of years that they don't have the talent, drive or chemistry to compete. With the exception of Kyle, their starting pitching staff is a joke. There are no other starters that gives the team in the field any confidence. Unless they hit their spots 100% of the time, they are batting practive pitchers. Regarding position players, Baez has great reflexes and bat speed but he is highly impulsive and has the attention span of a knat. I don't understand why any pitcher would throw him a fastball as any off speed pitch makes him look foolish. Bryant reminds me of Derrick ("Double Play") Lee. Does well when they game is not on the line. In addition, he has never learned how to use his body with his swing. He is all arms. With his size, he should be hitting bombs. He should watch tapes of Mike Schmidt. Rizzo is going to continue to be injury-prone but should be resigned as he is the pulse of the team. Heyward has long outlived his usefulness. He has never figured out how to correct his long loopy swing. The only starter truly worth keeping is Contrares. He is a big-time gamer and one of the best receivers in the game. Everyone else should be on the market! I can't watch this team anymore as it reminds me of a little league team. If they keep the same roster, my prediction is that they will end the season in the cellar.
