After all the taxes and shit she got 500 grand and thinks she still deserves her government assistance.



1. that 500k she has is is still about 200k more than I made in the 5 years Ive been out of college.

2. She shouldnt sit in her fucking "2 houses" till the money runs out. She could use that money to go get a fucking education so she can make money when that money is eventually gone.

Sometimes it seems like a bad joke. Many people apply for assistance that don't need it, but know they can qualify because of some loophole. Others who desperately need help are denied for some unfair criteria that has been set. For example I know of someone who had cancer and was unable to work for months. Their family had practically no income at the time. They applied for assistance at the time and were denied until they and their spouse cashed in there 401Ks and used up all of that money first which they did. This family was financially devastated as a result and have never recovered from it. This family is not the type to ask for handouts and would never take anything they didn't need. They just needed the smallest helping hand to get by till they recovered.

One the other hand she is part of the growing problem, those that think they still deserve everything. As much as we despise this mentality it is our society and even politicians who have encouraged this behaviour.

What I would like to see is that she not only lost the benefit (which has happened because of the story) but to see the state go after her assets for the benefits she did receive. That won't happen though. She will get a nice little letter stating she no longer qualifies and that is it. There should be criminal charges as well for scamming the system. Make examples of these people if you want "change".

I wouldn't even give her that long...



Even if she didn't go to a university (for some school ain't their "thing") - paying someone to responsibly invest that money for her would be a nice alternative as well, but no... she'll blow it on crap she doesn't need, extend her credit further and end up mooching off the system until she dies.
