My favorite teams
At first, I was really annoyed that basketball video games have so many limits on Bulls jerseys. But then I realized that most people don't know how many actual jerseys and variants the Chicago Bulls have had in the history of the franchise.
21 total that I know of. I can't be sure of the jerseys, other than from my research, and from being an active fan since 1983(the first Bulls game I watched, that's not when I was born.)
I began working on some basic templates for the away jerseys. Then I'll do the home jerseys, then all of the alternates. I'm hoping, just like any year, that NBA 2k11 or NBA Elite come out for the PC, just because I love to use all of the cool homebrew mods, double resolution images, and my PC right now blows away a PS3 or 360 as far as graphics. It's just a nice luxury to have.
So here are the away jerseys. Note that the Bulls team colors stayed the same, but the colors slightly changed on the jerseys because the fabric used, and contracts changed.
This is the first Bulls Jersey, and it's easiest to spot out because the shorts had the Bulls logo with one color.
In 1972, the Bulls only major jersey variant. This jersey was not successful, and disappeared quickly.
Most younger fans know this is Jordan's rookie jersey. This may be the most notable "Retro" jersey.
The new trend started to happen. This was the first jersey where the word Chicago was not on the face of the jersey. You can note that the player's name is white, and the rest of the lettering is gloss black.
The modern Bulls jersey.
The current Bulls jersey. Note the added Bulls logo on the back.
It's not a big deal, but it's interesting to know some of the deeper parts of the team's history.
Some people believe this is a "retro" bulls jersey. But it was a throwback honoring the Chicago Stags, a team that only shared the city name, but is in no other way, affiliated with the Bulls organization.
I have a lot left, and I need to tweak the player names on a few jerseys, because I just wanted to get the set done.
I still have Home Jerseys for:
66-72, 72-73, 73-85, 85-94, 94-2001, and 2001-current
And Alternates for:
88-90 red, 95-96 graphite striped, 96-98 charcoal, 99-01 black, 01-current black, St Patrick's Day green, Stags red and blue, Earth Day green, and Los Bulls.
