Anyone have this through DTV, and did you pay retail or did they cut you a deal?
On the one hand, I hate getting raped by dtv. Every year I negotiate a good deal and then a few months later I turn around and my bill is magically back up to an unreasonable level, considering how much I actually use it. We've been talking about bagging it altogether and just having broadcast tv + streaming.
On the other hand, this will be if not an historic season for Cubs fans, at least a very fun one. And only the opener was viewable in my market. There is literally not one game, for as far out as I can see scheduled games in dtv's future menu, that I can watch without coughing up more dough!
I lived in fucking Wisconsin in '85 and virtually none of the Bears games were on broadcast tv there. It was deeply agonizing.
I'm pretty busy and going to a sports bar is rarely an option - I tend to record games and watch them later when I have a couple of hours free. So, is it worth it?
