I don't get it. What's the problem with "unban" threads in the bar? Today, HHM's thread about Sports Genuis got locked here http://www.chicitysports.com/forum/...UnBan-quot-Sports-Genuis-quot-Petition-Thread

All he did was ask a question.. The poster isn't here anymore, so even if there are some pretty nasty, unbro comments, is that really a big deal? Shouldn't we have a place to talk about banned posters? I mean.. we have a "Village of the Banned" thread where we can see bannings and why, but we're not allowed to talk about it in an off topic forum? Why the excessive censorship?

So many feels for the lost bros of CCS... No where to express these feels..

Even if the rules aren't being broken, our spirits are by the totalitarian mods.. And dis is the saddest part.

Sometimes i think it's funny when mods lock threads, but sometimes i'm like :-v

and sometimes it seems like it becomes a pattern of behavior that may verge on autocratic persecution and i'm like, "should i speak out about this, even though i may never be able to speak here again? without having to go through 9000 proxies?"

I don't work out my moderation muscles much, so you won't see much from me in regards to that. We should be adult enough to let things air themselves out, but the message boards the IHN crew came from was a fraction of this board in terms of size, so I'm still gauging the community at large. There will always be a mod that probably will get to itchy on certain things, then there are the posters that feel that they're always persecuted and will play that card.

Find the happy medium.

Should be 14,000 but 4,000 of my thought provoking and interesting posts were lost in the merge.
