Congrats to my podcast partner, Mark, on his alma mater hiring one of the worst coaches of all-time, Tim Floyd. I've never seen a guy with a more steller reputation as a "great" college coach without ever winning one Elite 8 game in the tournament. Just for a moment, let's compare him to Tom Izzo, who has taken Michigan State to 5 Final Fours in 11 years. And let's never again insult the great Tom Izzo by comparing him to Tim Floyd.

And finally, as a proud member of the Illini nation (Class of 95), and defender of all things Big 10, only someone from the ACC is allowed to talk smack. Does PAC stand for Pathetic Awful Conference? With my back of the napkin math, the following conferences have been represented in the final four as follows (I'm counting the current Big East teams appearances when some of them belonged to Conference USA):
ACC - 21 times
Big 10 - 16
SEC - 13
Big East - 11
Big 12 - 9
PAC 10 - 8
