Crystals are basically substances that have their constituent atoms line up in a highly ordered state that can be measured in space.
Time Crystals are crystals that have their constituent atoms lined up in a highly ordered state in time. And we have now created them. Basically they have entangled ions in a quantum state in time. They pulsed a laser at these entangled bits and the time crystal reacted in a broken time symmetry. Basically the bits in the time crystal are out of phase, in time, with the laser affecting it.
