First of all, I just passed the 500 Post mark this week and there was absolutely no fanfare to commemorate it.

No cake...no cards...no party...

Seriously folks. What kind of message forum is this? I thought I deserved some congratulatory words after making it to 500.

Nonetheless, won't you please allow me to retort...

Has anyone seen the ESPN NBA trade machine? This could give us a more realistic understanding of trades that might work on a statistical, financial, as well as a logical basis.

I'd try to trade Thomas, James, and a lottery protected 2011 pick to the Jazz for Boozer. They'll most likely lose him for nothing so maybe they would bite at the trade deadline.

I don't understand why we have Pargo on the roster, so I'd try to sell him to the Lakers or Hornets. I would trade him for a 2010 second round pick.(REALGM TRADE CHECKER)

Lastly, I would look to the NBDL and sign their best, unattached shooting guard prospect.

I think you have to keep Derrick Rose at least one more year. I think at the very least, you want to keep Rose around on the cheap until you sign your max free agent in 2010, instead of clearing away your cap space in 2010 by including Rose in a blockbuster trade.

I think Noah is an obvious keeper.

Luol Deng is a solid player to, but very expendable because of his contract.

Kirk Hinrich and John Salmons will both have to go if they can't turn this around in a major way. Tyrus Thomas is a goner anyhow, because of 2010 free agency, so what we do with him probably doesn't matter much.
