At the beginning of interleague play last season the Chicago Sox were 26-33 8 ½ games out of first place. But, things would change rather quickly for the 2010 Sox. At the conclusion of interleague play the Sox were 39-35 and sat 1 ½ games out of first.
Fast forward to this season coming into Interleague play the Sox record was 33-37 after being swept by the Minnesota Twins sitting 5 ½ games out of first place. Historically this is the time of the year when the Sox right their ship.
Overall the Sox are 193-170 a 53% winning percentage that is pretty much on par with the Sox record since 1997(the first year of interleague play) of 1217-1126 a 51% winning percentage. Since 2008 the Sox are 45-18 a 71% winning percentage against National League teams which is way above their 293-270 a 52% winning percentage.
