Here are some advantages that help a quarterback thrive in this league.

1. A familiarity with an offensive system. Learning the offensive system over many years is huge.

2. A consistent productive running game that opens up play action and keeps defenses honest.

3. An offensive line that gives you enough time to set your feet and keeps you confident standing in the pocket.

4. Elite wideouts that have a combination of size, speed, and great route running ability that make for easier targets.

Jay Cutler has none of those advantages and still is a top 10 quarterback in the league. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would regress under those circumstances. Fact is Cutler is the most talented quarterback this franchise had over the last 50 years.

But he threw for less than 200 yards...He's obviously not a good QB because of that
(Sorry just saying what some hater will say)

It's a shame, really. Cutler won't have the team he needs to be the elite quarterback he is until near the end of his career.

Steve Young is criticizing Cutler's footwork.

And now time to turn off ESPN as they allow Dilfer to spew bullshit.

Gruden pointed out many times how Cutler hardly sets his feet to throw the ball. When your offensive line is as suspect as our is you need to be ready to move at all times and half of his throws are after avoiding pressure on the run. Could you imagine what kind of throws Jay would make if he could drop back and have 5 seconds every down to set his feet and deliver passes like Brady does?

I think it just make Cutler more impressive launching bullets off his back foot or off balance.

I think I sum up our feelings towards every hater of Cutler and the Bears all season including Dilfer, Schlereth, Cowherd, and countless other douches with the following:

I just heard Trent Dilfer say (about Jay Cutler) on ESPN. "This is the reason I am so critical. I wish I had that!"

I swear to God!

Steve Young: You make a valid point for most QBs, but our boy Cutler aint a typical QB. Jay does it the best way he can. I dont see espn bitchin how Paytons little leg sprint was bad fundamentals when they look back at the Greats. They just talk how great Sweetness was. They play the way they play, and I'll take it that way.

Rex Grossman did that too...in the beginning of 06 he got away with it..but then later on he never got away with it and whenever he did it it ended badly just about. But Cutler gets away with it alot more than Rex ever did (Cutler is obviously leagues ahead of Rex too)

And just about any QB would look like gold behind the Pats O-Line...I mean look at Matt Cassel's 2008 season.

So basically he hates him because he's jealous..which is what we all suspected all along.

You might wanna look at Cassel's 2010 season. The dude's legit. 24 TDs, 5 picks...will most likely hit 3000 yards...

That being said, you're right..their OL is tough.
