I don't want to hate on the guy because that doesn't do any good but I don't understand how he was rated ahead of Hanie. I mean, he might have looked better in practice but yikes when he's been in games he looks like he should be retired

The fact that the Bears actively pursued the guy and gave into his demands of guaranteed money is almost unbelievable.

The fact that Martz felt he needed a veteran QB was laughable. The last two preseasons Hanie had looked good. Maybe this will open Angelos eyes that a never been QB is not the answer.

He was hurt in the first game of this preseason and it was uncertain if he would even be healthy week one. They needed a QB and the options were slim pickin' Collins didn't convince anyone he deserved 1 MILLION DOLLARS! He just happened to be the only QB out there who had familiarity with a similar system.
I guess they should of kept Matt Gutierrez.
