And needs one right NOW! Reinsdorf deserves a *****-slapping for not getting this done earlier.

He should also have sculpters making a statue for him in advance.
I expect a lot of records to be broken and Thibbs already has more accolades then most coaches take a whole career to accompolish.
Thibbs has only been the coach for a year and a half.
I think losing hurts Thibbs real bad. He's a spoiled winner :smug:

Do we have something or it is just rumors that Thibs is upset? I believe that they will give him a huge contract.

Coach Thibbs doesn't except failure well and somehow manages to keep the Bulls winning no matter what stands in the way.
What I like about him most is when he says "we have lots of room for improvements"in every postgame interview.
Its funny, because he says that even when the Bulls seem to have a perfect game. LoL
Thibbs cracks me up because he steals the caption "winning" from Charlie Sheen 10 fold. :beerbang:

If PaxGar don't give him an extension, it will be almost as bad as when he didn't give Ben Gordon one. :troll:

Thibs should be taken care of over the offseason. Management knows not to let him come close to being a free agent or a lame duck coach.

I think he can only give his case greater strength by winning a championship this year. Therefore, all he needs is a little patience and a lot of pushing our team forward like he has. :)

It was reported by Marc Stein, nuff said. One thing is for sure, a new contract is the last thing on Thibs' mind right now. He'll get a huge extension in the off-season so everyone keep your pantyhose on.

They got burned by Scott Skiles once, I can't blame the Bulls for hesitating. Thibodeau said himself he still has a contract to honor.

They should pick up their option for next year at the least.

Thibs is a wayyyyyyyyyy better coach then Skiles so I don't see how the Bulls can get burned again. Don't get me wrong Skiles is a good coach but he isn't a basketball genius like Thibs. He deserves to get payed $6-8 Mil a year in his new contract, Reinsdorf cheap a$$ better pay the man or he will go to NY where they will pay him lots of ca$h just like they did to DanToni but the Knicks got burned on that one.

This shouldn't even be a story. No point in getting anxious over this. He will get paid.

What's worse? Sensationalist journalism, or the people that fall for the same tactic over and over again?

He's not going anywhere. He's going to be on the Bulls sideline for a long time.

When has Reinsdorf ever let a player/coach walk that he deemed valuable to the team? He does his best to retain players, same with coaches. I don't think there will be a problem here.

Thibs does deserve an extension, and things like this dont make the organization look good to free agents. And we wonder why the team gets shunned every off season
