I'm seeing a ton of Tom Brady GOAT posts after last nights game. I do agree he is, but last nights game ball belongs to Todd Bowles. The mix of blitz packages, and Cover 2 disguises, had Rodgers offbeat all night. The secondary did a great job limiting Adam's touches while also being aggressive and swarming to the ball. Barrett looked like Mack out there last night. Brady looked very mortal, and didn't play a good game. I belive Bowles is the reason The Bucs are here now.

No doubt about it. The packers adjusted coming out in the 2nd half, and for two drives marched right down the field. Then Bowles readjusted and it was lights out. He understands the way to beat a top QB is pressure and disguising coverages.

Everyone thinks KC will win but the one thing that makes me wonder is that both of their starting tackles won’t be playing. If the Bucs get both starting safeties back, plus get the pressure I think this game is going to get very interesting.

Bowles has been a top 5 DC for many years. Brady's play in the second half was totally awful, he easily could have lost the game for Tampa.

The Bucs defense was without Antonio Winfield for the game and they lost Whitehead early in the 3rd quarter. Both starting safeties out and they contained the Pack for the entire fourth quarter despite the offense being a turnover machine.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I think Nagy did as well. The problem was Arians took the Bucs job and hired Bowles prior to Fangio getting the Broncos gig. There was about a days worth of rumors where people thought Bowles would change his mind and come to Chicago instead.

Yeah, Bowles was probably torn. But because of their work in AZ, he went to Tampa with Arians

You are correct, Bowles told Arians we would agree to be his defensive coordinator and Arians presented it that way in the interview process with Tampa. Bowles was contemplating backing out when the Bears job became available but ultimately chose to honor his word. As much as I wanted him in Chicago I think he did the right thing

I can also see an opportunity for James Bettcher to join the Bears as the LB coach replacing Monachino. I think combining some of Bowles philosophies with Fangio's would be interesting

& yeah...I think it was out there that Bowles preferred to come to the BEARS. But he didn't feel comfortable backing out on Arians after giving him an verbal commitment.

I remember Hub telling a story when the BEARS hired Tresticles... One of the candidates being interviewed at the time marveled when he walked into Halas Hall (the history, the feeling of being there). Sort of like, "I can't believe I'm standing here." Hub never said which candidate it was. But given his love for Bowles and their connection, I'm pretty sure it was him. Would've been great to get him then or as a DC when Vic left.

Bowles is a great defensive mind for sure. I felt though he took his foot off the gas a bit when the bucs went up 18.

But great job by him.

Bowles should be a top 5 candidate for a head coaching job next offseason. I know people are hesitant to hire defensive head coaches, but Bowles has a TON of connections. Worked for Arians, Parcells, Holmgren, Wade Phillips, and Andy Reid. Lot of ways he could go for his OC.

Watching the game I said to myself the Bucs defense won this game. Brady threw 3 picks and they still won.

Rodgers has plenty of chances but the the Bucs D just crushed him.
And that was without their 2 starting safety’s who are difference makers.

Veta Vea is a mammoth. He was constantly pushing the center into Rodger's lap. For those of you who are or were saying Mack and Quinn suck, it's that type of inside pressure the Bears do not have that allows the ends to get to the QB.
