These are the men deserving of all credit. Bears fandom salutes you!!!

1. With the game high score of 92.7, Jaylon Johnson with an INT, 2 pass break ups and a passer rating against him of 8.3

2. DJ Moore scores a 82.2 with over 100 yards, avg of 10.4 yards per reception. Not easy to do with an avg depth of target of just 4.2 yards.

3. TJ Edwards with an 80.8 He had 1 INT, 1 QB Hit, 6 Tackles, 4 stops and a passer rating against of 37.5

4. Montez Sweat showed up against the weak team w/ backup QB. He got 79.7 for 2 sacks and 7 pressures in all.

5. Braxton Jones with 76.5 allowed 0 sacks and 0 QB hits while also being solid in run blocking.

For those wanting to move on from Jaylon Johnson, have any other of the CBs even had a shutdown game like this before? Even once?

JJ played good but it's against Joshua Dobbs tho . . .that's like the other teams db thinking they the bomb having a career day vs justin fields.

When a hall of fame coach like Mike Tomlin gives up on you after 2 seasons (steelers fleeced the bears for chase claypool, perma benched mitch after 4 starts). Tomlin knows his shit.

Dobbs already on his 4th team in 5 years, yikes

The same Dobbs that threw for 270 and no picks and beat the Saints defense

Moore is some player. About half Fields’ yards to him are probably after the catch!
say what you want about Poles, that trade was money. Fields went from having no reliable targets last year to the team barely using Moore the first few weeks to him becoming highly worth having. he moves extremely well.

and Dobbs came into a game with zero preparation and won. his only real loss I think has been to the Broncos who have had dramatic improvement the last month, and it was by a couple points. Bears defense just really stepped up suddenly. once they bolster that defensive line they'll be pretty good again.

what awful timing for this comeback tweet. I mean this would carry a little more **ooompf** if the Bears had just blown a team out 30-14. No?

the offense mustered up 12 points when the defense has 4 ints? how is that even possible? wtf

Its called context.

For example, one of the picks was probably better left dropped considering it was 4th down and catching it just pushed the team further back in their own territory

Are the other CBs in a contract year playing vastly better than ever before?

Focusing on what a guy has done in just their contract year and not their whole body of work is how you end up giving Edmunds 18m a year.

Jaylon Johnson has been a top CB for just 10 games. His coverage grades have been 56.1, 60.5, 65.2 and 90.4. Can you spot the outlier?

By comparison, Edmunds PFF grades were 60 or lower his first 3 years before he got an 82 in his contract year and graded out as a top 5 LB.

Now does this mean Johnson will suck? No. But you better be 100% convinced this season is the start of his being great and not just a contract year anomaly before you commit 15-17m a year to him.

Well he has been on a compete shit defense for many years. And it’s funny you mention Edmunds bc it sounds like you’re alluding to letting JJ walk/trade which means having to find his replacement in FA (bc like I said no other CB has produced like that) which looks an awful lot like the Roquan-Edmunds switch debacle.

Now do the other Bears CB PFF scores…

Imagine being a casual fan who thought the Vikings were real good and that Dobbs was ever anything other than a backup QB. Oh, those silly bastards.
has nothing to do with that and everything to do with the Vikings winning 5 of their last 6 games coming into the contest against the bears.

Imagine being a casual fan that has no clue about win/loss records

also, if the season ended today...the Vikings would be a playoff team

Once the Great Kirk Cousins went down, the Vikes playoff hopes dissipated. Oh, sure, you'd have those complete morons fooled by a couple wins over NFC South teams, but real knowledgeable fans knew the crash and burn was coming.

Yeah I couldn't imagine being such a loser that I did not run a YouTube scouting report on a burn victim led football team from Minnesota last week. I bet you were the king of the water cooler talk yesterday!
