Kyle Fuller struggles and allows Crabtree 80 yards against Crabtree who missed part of the game. Fuller has been dominated the entire season so far and was benched in week 2. Time to trade Fuller or try him at safety?
You throw that word dominated around pretty loosely
And you shouldn't do that to the headline. Heres the real one...
Three-and-Out: Bears CB Tracy Porter limits Raiders WR Amari Cooper
Three notes and observations from the Bears’ 22-20 victory against the Raiders at Soldier Field in Week 4.
1. Porter vs. Cooper
The Bears shadowed Raiders star rookie receiver Amari Cooper with veteran cornerback Tracy Porter, and it worked out well.
Cooper had a 26-yard touchdown catch, but it came from the slot and against nickel back Sherrick McManis. Take out that catch and Cooper had three catches for 23 yards despite being targeted eight times.
“That was just coaches and the teammates having confidence in me,” Porter said. “They came to me and said that they wanted me to. I was like, ‘I’m fine with it.’ ”
Porter credited his teammates for communicating well.
Still, it was a big change for Porter, who missed the first two games with a hamstring injury and got only five snaps last week against the Seahawks.
“I feel good,” Porter said. “You don’t lose your skill set. You’re just out because of injury.”
2. Marty’s big catch
The most important reception of the game was tight end Martellus Bennett’s seven-yard catch on fourth-and-5 during the Bears’ game-winning drive.
Jay Cutler fired the pass with linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong all over Bennett.
“I beg for the ball every single time, because I hate when the defense gets the stop on us on offense,” Bennett said. “I always want to be the guy.”
3. Forte’s fumble
Running back Matt Forte lost a fumble for the first time since the 2013 season and credited cornerback David Amerson for the strong hit.
“I got hit on the ball because did I have two hands on it,” Forte said. “Got to hold onto the ball.”
