  1. Duke Blue Devils
Yesterday, I discussed my mixed emotions on the Bulls lack of a move. The right move may not have been on the table, but the predeadline comments by beat reporters about the new CBA and saving money still bring...

Something tells me the Celtics will be just fine, I dont know why that is though. Just a feeling.

But they will have trouble in the playoffs against a team like the Magic, and well I now can see us having an easier time with them as well.

You know i listened the russillo podcast today. he makes a good point. In the lakers celtics seriews, perkins was averaging 20 minutes. The same things true with magic series.

As much as doug ragged on brewer, i thought brewer brought some fine energy. we went on a run while brewer, asik and cj were on the floor.

Honestly I like the no-move from the Bulls. Yesterday you could see that great teamwork beats great individual talents.

And the Bulls seem to have on of the best team chemistries in the league.

Call me crazy, but (healthy) I believe the Oklahoma City Thunder should be the favorites to win the Western Conference.

Not crazy at all, added one of the best post defenders in the league and Nazr actually started for Charlotte at times this year. The question is...will they pay Perkins what he wants?

the west is crazy. I think there are 3 teams that can go to the WCF.

san antonio(1st) or thunder(4th) versus the lakers (2nd ).

I still think the thunder a post player away from being legit title favorites. Imagine if David west was the 3rd option on the thunder.

I don't think anybody will pay Perkins what he wants. There aren't many teams that are stupid enough to give a guy with his injury/surgery resume a significant/Jerome James-type-of contract.

The key for the Thunder is that they will be able to match whoever offers him the most money easily. They already have a team that looks like it will be able to win the West for the next 5-10 years.

Miami must be terrified of these guys. I know I am.

i don't understand why you wouldn't pay perkins. he played 75+ games a year for the last three years and 60+ for every year but his rookie year. yeah, he has injuries, but not incredibly more than other players.

i think 8 million is a bargain for him, and the celtics wouldn't pay him even less than that

Cause he's a bad player on offense. His defense and hustle don't make up for his inabilities on offense. But that's not the reason why the celtics did this trade. they did it, because you can't play rondo and perkins on the floor at the end of games. They're investing in their second best big man, glen davis. Perkins has regressed on offense, and i think there's bad news over the horizon regarding his health. Green has sucked, but he's sucked playing out of position. this is a gamble that might pay off in the future. Ryen russilo pointed it out best. People overvalue perkins. He played under 20 minutes a night in the playoffs. You want to pay serious cash to a guy who can't stay on the floor?

i'm still doubtful that perkins makes okc a contender. He's a bad fit with their best big man, ibaka. You know who'd be an interesting huy to put next to a guy like ibaka, spencer hawes or brook lopez. You need a guy who can give you offense from the center position next to ibaka. you don't need a thicker, lesss mobile ibaka.

Did he get a deal? is his deal 5 years 40 million? I'm not going to say it's a bad deal, but it has the potential to be bad.
