I take the "LAR" LVR trade in a heartbeat. Davante Adams contract would let Bears cut him for $0 dead money after '24, bad news is his contract is so backloaded you almost HAVE to cut him after '24. I still take a 2 year rental of stud WR in the end of his prime for the window along with multiple 1sts and a high 2nd - its imo the best mix of more draft lotto tickets along with someone who helps a lot RIGHT NOW when the Bears need to pivot from tanking to kicking ass.

You sure about this? Not saying you’re wrong but contracts might as well be in Egyptian for me…I can’t make sense of those things

Yes, Davantes contract was basically designed to be a 3 year deal with 2 additional crazy backloaded years in 25 and 26 where he would have a base salary of over $30M, but the Raiders designed the contract so they could pretty easily get out of that before paying 33 year old Adams the highest WR salary in NFL.

I'd trade for Pitts. He's elite and at 7 we can still get a good OL/DL + 38 is nice. Could still get a WR at 7 or 38.
I’d send them Kmet back and ask for more. Pitts is not a good fit for Arthur Smith’s system which makes his selection even more head-scratching. Kmet can be replaced with this strong FA TE market this off-season. I say this as a big Kmet fan too.

Got to consider that Mooney may not come back the same player after his injury.

Way to piss in my cheerios. But it is a valid point. Or he could come back injury prone as well.

I hope he comes back ready to go in a contract year. I like him as a player, no fuss, works hard, kind of player you would like to see get a second contract.

Fingers crossed.

Why would the Jets do that?
They do have some decent WR depth and have a terrible QB situation unless they get Jimmy G or I guess Carr. Maybe Rodgers, otherwise they need answer at QB. Mike White SZN
