Looking at the chart (2025 NFL Trade Value Chart), the 10th overall pick + #39 or #41 comes out to damn near equal the value of the 4th overall pick (New England).

Assuming Carter doesn't fall to them at #4, whom they would likely take without a second thought, would you entertain the idea of packaging perhaps #39 with #10 to move up to #4 and grab Mason Graham, or someone else not named Abdul Carter?

Hell no. For Carter? Yes…for anyone else? No.

I'd trade up with those kinds of assets if Carter is there, but no one else. He's the only one that's that good + plays a premium position.

I could live with a trade up for Carter, but I wouldn’t like it. We need more good players, not one great player.

They need another great player or two. Carter is the best player in the draft and considering what premier edge rushers cost $$$ wise and draft capital (multiple 1sts), getting Carter for #10 and #39 is a no brainer IMO. You’ll have him for years on a rookie deal, and the bears would still have a 2nd round pick…could always trade down in the 2nd to get another 3rd or 4th.

I don’t think 1 second rounder gets it done.

Maybe not but that’s what was being proposed in the thread. If he fell to 4, the value is about #39 according to the trade chart. Doubt NE would pass on him though…and doubt he would fall to 4. If for whatever crazy reason he did fell and the bears could get him for #10 and #39, I would not think twice about it.

I better not see anyone in here advocating for a trade up, after they argued with me by taking a position that the meaningless season ending victory against the Packers was more important than our draft positioning

I just don't see any way we could get him without putting our 1st in next year, which wouldn't be worth it, IMO.

I think it's unlikely he falls to #4. If he does, the Patriots would be really dumb to pass on him. I think Graham is a lock for #5 with the Jags, so if the Patriots don't figure to take him, then maybe there's a chance for us to trade up for him, if we wanted to. I wouldn't do it, just heard a video of Kevin Fishbain saying not to underestimate the possibility of it as Poles was itching to trade up for Odunze last year.

I don't like the trade up either, but I don't necessarily agree with you r2nd statement. We have no great players really...

I mean ward and sanders are going top 3. Ward is going 1 to Tennessee and sanders will go to nyg at 3 if Cleveland doesn't take him. So that means Cleveland has to choose between hunter and Carter and I wouldn't be surprised if it is hunter having extended Garrett.

Of course NE will just take Carter, but this whole draft is going to be interesting to see how things play out.

Also, if Cleveland takes sanders then I think nyg could take hunter too considering they have Thibodaux and burns.

If I were Cleveland or nyg, I'd take Carter over hunter personally

I’m less than convinced sanders is going top 10, yet alone top 3.

I get most people don't think he will or deserves to (he shouldn't). But schoen and daboll are absolutely desperate at qb and literally nothing else will save their jobs. They've scouted him a ton this year. I have no doubt that they are taking him if he's available
