Newton having an undiscovered/undisclosed Jones fracture that requires surgery on his left foot after the draft looks really bad for him and Washignton since he was still recovering from the same surgery on his right foot a few months before that draft.

I get it - the AFC is loaded with QB talent compared to the NFC. If the goal is playoff wins, I'd choose the NFC, too.
