The last Tron was pretty forgettable. I don't really remember liking or disliking it to be honest.

#202 all-time worldwide box office gross. How is that not much in movie terms? LOL

202 impresses you? Guess you're easily impressed. Not to mention I'm sure that figure isn't adjusted for inflation. If you take that into consideration Gone With The Wind is at over 3 Billion.

The second Tron was a bucket of shit. Soundtrack kicked ass, and I'm fine with Olivia Wilde in tight pants, but that didn't save it from it being written by a third grader.
Whatever a movie grosses isn't reflective on how good it is. It could gross 4 billon, but it's still a below average film.
I can dumb it down at times and watch a popcorn flick, but Tron isn't one of them.
I will certainly do that for Mad Max.

#202 does impress me when you take into consideration the # of movies made all-time. Yes, I would say that's impressive. Call me crazy though.

Except you can't take the # of movies made all-time into consideration without considering inflation.

Okay let's try this another way sheep. Budget for movie was $170M and it grossed $400M. That represents a 135% return. You're not impressed with that?

By the way that's a yes or no question. I don't want to hear any more bullshit out of your mouth.

Trying to explain that a movie making $400M is a good thing to a grown man makes me want to pound my head into a brick wall!

Go ahead and do it.... not like it's gonna damage anything.

P.S. If the budget was 170 mil as you say then the movie didn't make 400 mil.... it made 230 mil. ;)

A 400m take worldwide isn't too impressive for a film that was probably billed as a blockbuster. Most of the revenue was probably from older people that were into the first Tron. The concept and effects were cool, the execution of the plot fell on its face.
It grossed enough to make another lame sequel that even less people will watch.
