I look at that as a warning to other teams as what not to do. But you're probably right.

So crazy how these things unfold...Dolphims were the favorite to draft Tua with the 1st overall pick at the mid-season mark last year. They start trading off their more talented players to get some draft capital for future and ensure they have the capital to move up in the draft....supposedly so they could get Tua. But then they go on a winning streak, Tua gets injured and the Dolphins still are able to get Tua at #5.
Tua then isn't looking to good in year #1 and blew an opportunity to clinch the playoffs...Now one of those picks they traded away last year, will now be able to be used to potentially draft Tua's replacement.
Absolutely crazy when you follow the timeline of how this is a unfolding!

Wouldn't mind it. He's probably a better prospect than Jones/Trask which are the only real potential 1st/2nd rounders we can get our hands on.
He will cost less than mitchell.
This team also kinda sucks, so it would give him time to develop.

Assuming Mitch leaves, if Tua is available, Pace would be crazy not to call MIA and try to work out a deal. He still has a ton of upside and the Bears best chance to acquire a franchise QB for the 2021 season.
Biggest problem is that Nagy will likely be back next season and we've all witnessed how poor he is at developing players.
