Anyone here love making homemade sandwiches with fresh deli cut meat?

I love a good turkey sandwich (w/ provologne, lettuce, tomato [lightly salted and peppered], onion) on sourdough bread with a light mayo/ketchup/brown sugar spread.

My digestive system is rock solid and I never have issues with bowel movements unless I eat this type of sandwich.

At first I thought it was the onions because I know the acidity can cause problems for some people... but I still had issues. Tried the same sandwich without tomato and lettuce, some issues. Finally I thought it was my homemade gravy (that I jar), but again that wasn't the issue.

I narrowed it down that it MUST be the turkey. This stuff gives me the worst gas you can imagine.

Anyone else have this or no why?

I think there's a bacteria from preserved meat and slicers at delis starts with an Ly. Shit can actually cause a miscarriage if you are pregnant. I got bad gas from a torta yesterday, had cramps, but it was probably the refried beans. I don't think they fried em enough the second time...

So it's not just turkey? My issue is only w/ turkey... I can eat uncured ham all day with no problems.
