sandberg seems to be the sentimental favorite by the fans, ricketts will probably give into that, plus he will come cheap. if girardi pops his head up and says he wants to coach the cubs, i would jump on it.

It's not Rickett's decision. It's Jim Hendry's. Rickett's said that he is going to leave the decision up to Hendry.

well within reason yes. he cannot just go out and sign whoever he wants for whatever price tag. and his comment about that is basically his way of saying that hendry is staying without coming out and saying it.
