Whoops never mind, Kizer going to the Pack. So Cleveland likely picking QB in the draft for sure.

Much better than Glennon but still not the guy you build your offense around

A better snow job convincing everyone they're not going for a QB at #4 so they can take Barkley at #1?

Tyrod Taylor is better than people think. He's a decent QB, and a perfect place holder.

Yup. This isn't about championships but the new GM is going for instant respectability as opposed to building for a SB and I don't blame him. Unless they get into a position for the 1st 2 picks in the draft, I now suspect they may take Barkley 1st and a QB after to further this process.

I'm guessing Taylor is the Brown's bridge QB while they are developing the guy they've identified and intend to draft as their franchise QB. Taylor actually sounds a little bit like Glennon from a contract perspective. A one year hit ($15M), then they can let him go, presumably when their franchise QB is ready to step in.

This deal sounds like a good thing from a Bears perspective:

- The Browns are taking a QB high, probably at #1. The nonsense about them going after Cousins can be put to rest.
- The Bills are probably all-in on Cousins. Don't see any of the other FA QBs as being what they want, assuming they envision themselves as a playoff contender. Worst case, they don't get Cousins and end up packaging their high picks to get one of the QBs in the draft.

All good....

Thus...Taylor is the Brown's "Glennon."

I think it's a good move by the Browns. Taylor will be the bridge QB. Cle should take Barkley at #1 and then take a QB (I'd take Mayfield) at #4. That QB will be able to sit and learn. They are still loaded with picks to get more difference makers. They just really need to get that QB pick right this time.

Other than serving the role of bridge QB, there is no comparison of Taylor to Glennon.
