I was on Tyrus's page on NBA.com, and I noticed he's now listed at 6'10". What is this all aboot? Are the Bulls trying to raise his trade value, are they thinking about pairing him at the five with Noah, or is it just a mistake that will soon be corrected?

I don't know what the NBA does with height, Kevin Garnett is 7'2" but listed at 6'11", Dennis Rodman was 6'8" as a Piston, but 6'6" as a Bull, Dickie Simpkins was 6'8" when he was pine rider and 6'10" when he became a full-time starter, just about every NBA player's height is altered in some fashion.

I agree, dude can jump over guards if he had to, he is still one of the most athletic players in basketball, and one of the most frustrating too.

Exactly, I wish he could start putting it together mentally. He just doesn't play with consistent effort. I could over look all the mental mistakes if he would sprint the court and crash the boards hard.

Kevin Garnett is 7-2?" lol That's Mt. Mutombo size man. Were you exaggerating creatively?

I remember him jumping all over Craig Sager when he said he was seven foot and Garnett said "I'm 6-11." I'm pretty sure he really is 7-foot though. Don't know why he would want people to think he was shorter than he really is. Most of us want to be taller than we really are.

Another classic example...Charles Barkley listed at 6-6" really 6-4," Hakeem Olajuwon listed at 7 foot, really about 6-10." Steve Nash, listed at 6-3" no taller than 6 foot. Allen Iverson has to be 5-something too.

Also, I'm conflicted on Kobe Bryant. Sometimes he looks 6-6" but i went to a game years ago in Phoenix. My seats were 6 rows from the court and Pennny Hardaway appeared to be at least 2 inches taller than Kobe and Penny's 6-7."

Kobe definitely isn't 6-7" as I've seen him listed before.

Remember that scene from Blue Chips when they bring in their stud recruits and they introduce Shaq at 7-4" and Penny at 6-9" and the white dude from Indiana at 6-10?"

"I ain't no 6-9" Penny said and then Nick Nolte goes "That's how tall you'll be if you play here."

The NBA still lists Eddy Curry @ 285lbs. Dude hasn't weighed 285 since Skiles made run sprints 3 times a day & gave him a heart condition.

Thomas is 6-7.5 at best.

I don't know about that, it doesn't matter but I bet he is about 6'10"

That would make him an inch shorter than Noah, which he certainly is not. But it doesn't matter anyway. His length & athleticism will make up for any height disadvantage.

Really, what's the purpose anyway? Fans pretty much know about the real height, and there's the official measurements from pre draft as well. Does a 6'10" player sell more tickets? Seems like ...
