Gotta start school tomorrow.

I hate it.

And to make things worse, I have to go to some academic appreciation ceremony for have a GPA over 3.4 (3.9) on Thursday. That means I go to school, come home for like 5 minutes, and go right back, and don't get home until like 9.

My high school transcripts are all Cs, Ds, and incompletes. I still was accepted into UIC (the only school I applied for). I scored a 27 on my ACT. I would ditch class and only showed up for tests, school was just too fucking boring and I was more concerned with getting drunk and laid. Lucky for me high school hockey was a club sport and had no academic related suspensions.

As long as you have impressive SAT or ACT scores you can get into pretty much any school you want.

Just because I gave no effort into high school does not make me dumb. I started my own business at age 20 which I am currently living comfortably off of. I just cannot stand sitting inside for 8 hours a day, so I did not even attend college.

As legit a path as any Livewire. THere are different types of intelligence and different types of people. I love school, would be a professional student if I could, but can't work with my hands for shit! I've got emotional and academic intelligence in spades but I really lack in the areas of spacial and technical intelligence. Common sense/street smarts is a different ballgame all together. I've done and seen enough stupid things to have earned that the hard way :shot:

I have a freaking honors class (Chemistry 400) first damn period. How am I supposed to think that much at 8 AM?

And faking an injury won't get me out of anything, I have Drivers Ed instead of PE this year.

Keep up the good grades. I did great in high school and got a full ride to Purdue. Its great coming out of college with no loans. Like ridiculously great.

To be fair I also had really generous parents who covered room, board, and food for me.

I don't even know what college I want to go to. What are the best colleges in Chicagoland? I'm not sure what I want to do yet though. I originally wanted to be a Marine Biologists, then I decided I'd rather stay in Chicago, (I can't even stand the offseason, why would I leave Chicago and not be able to watch most of the games?). So I am considering a couse in Web or Video Game Design or some form of Sports Management (like a GM).

Really i think everyone should go into college Undecided. Because I was in your boat... I was like "Im good at math, ill be an engineer" welp i was wrong. And alot of people i know switched majors after the first semester too.

And then I was like: "I like dogs and cars so ill be a Vet science major, or a mechanical technology major"

Then I decided that ill just choose a high-paying career, and just buy dogs and cars lol.

Look into it. Things like Jobs Rated Almanac are good resources. Everyone wants to me a video game designer or GM so thats not all that realistic.

Although Computer Science would be good for web design. Im not sure where else good programs for that are, but I know Purdue's is good. Really good starting salary for CS majors right out of college too, around 60K. Purdue gets CSN and WGN, so you wont miss games.

Or you could go to school for marine biology (which is really cool, my friend went to Palm Beach Atlantic for MB, its really interesting to me) and spend a few extra hundred for MLB.TV, NHL Center Ice, and NFL Sunday Ticket.

I want to stay near Chicago regardless though. Much more simple for me, then if I ever need to come home for something I don't have to waste money on a plane or a shitload of gas.

I get ya on that one. Well within a 4 hour drive of Chicago you have a lot of great schools. U of I, NIU, DePaul, Purdue, Indiana, Iowa, Butler, Rose Hulman (I think Iowa is within 4 hours but idk)

Oh really I thought you were a senior (i think the "400" made me think of 400-level, or senior level classes in college)... well then **** it dont think about it til senior year just enjoy HS lol.
