I'm sure I am not going to be well liked on here for giving my opinion, but here goes!

My grandson's have been Cub's fans for years and were ever so excited to get a chance to actually go to a game yesterday (8/21/10) But at the end of the game they were very disappointed to find out how RUDE the Cub's players actually are! To a 12 year old baseball player seeing and getting an autograph from a MLB player is at the top of his list, nothing could get much better than that! So while he waits for this chance what does he get??? Players that sneak by real fast with security rushing them past! They even look the oposite direction. How hard is it to be kind and spend a few minutes to give autographs???? Without the fans the players wouldn't be anything!!
What a disappointment!!!!

You gotta go before the game. When the players get to Wrigley.. Sit outside the fences at the Player lot.

Going after the game isn't gonna get you much.

We were there two hours before the game and the boys tried to go down at that time, but security wouldn't let them out there and actually told them to wait for them after the game when they came out of the showers. So that's what we did!

You would think that they could put it in their schedules every day for them to take 1/2 hour to stop and visit and sign autographs. These kids look up to them and were really let down about how these players acted.

At the risk of sounding like a jerk -- buy better seats. As much as it frustrates fans (myself included) players are not obligated to take time out of their schedule to meet fans and sign autographs...several of them do so much charity work on the side anyway, they probably feel like their "Obligation to the fans" is already filled.

Plus, it doesn't help that you're coming to a game at the end of August, near the end of one of the most frustrating years for the Cubs (both players and fans) in some time.

They aren't rude, they never give autographs after the game. They usually give them out until an hour before the game if any players are out there. Otherwise, just wait until next time.
