Whoever is in charge of playing music there, needs to stop playing this shit.

I don't care that it's rap.

I do care that whatever they do play- it's usually horrible and way too loud if you're sitting in the 300s.

I remember back when Rocky first took over the team and they completely cut out Frank Pellico from the game. That was a disaster. I met Frank in the concourse one game and he said that his hands were tied... word came down that his role would be reduced in favor of more modern music during breaks in play. I think enough people complained and Frank was allowed to play more.

The first time I heard rap at the UC for a Hawks game was during warmups for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. THAT was intense.

Seems like they've continued to do it since then though....its a hell of a lot better than Nickelback. But Frank Pellico ripping ass into a microphone would also be better than Nickelback.

In my day Nancy Faust used to play Iron Man over that massive Stadium organ ... whenever Secord hit the ice.

Personally, for me... that *was* part of the experience, and frankly they can shove all of the taped music... I heard enough of that garbage when I was subjected to IHL season tickets in Kansas City.... that, flat beer odor, along with wafts of bad Nacho Cheese and Jalapenas .... yep... I think I've been ruined for life.
