Ben Gordon talks about various stuff. Looks like it was done by the NBA.

Yeah, the Rose song was cheesy. I thought they were good little videos though.

Ha they did one for Brad Miller when I went to the game. They asked like he liked to do in his free time and it clearly wasn't what he said.

Well dead wildebeest isn't so bad. It could be a dead cow or something more mundane. I don't think Derrick has a personality that comes alive for the cameras, and he's not a natural interview yet, but most guys get a lot better with that stuff as time rolls on.

Hopefully by his 3rd year, when he starts making all-star games and will be in media a WHOLE LOT.

Derrick and Ben both seem to have that "silent assassin" attitude about themselves....very modest and soft spoken, but can tear you apart on the court with their play, and they know it.

Derrick will warm up to the media....he is still only 20 years old.

Hockey's Future: Hawks Fall 2010 Top 20 Prospects Review

So ummm, well you know it *is* Hockey's Futures (HF) we're talking about here so ya know. . .take that however you want. Nevertheless, they're just as entitled to review the prospects pipeline and opine as anybody else. But I reiterate, it *is* HF we're dealing with, LOL!

Dylan Olsen remains atop deep Chicago Blackhawks group

Written by: Brad Gardner on 09/04/2010

While Chicago's cap crunch may have hurt the Blackhawks' chances of repeating as Stanley Cup Champions next season, the prospect system is healthy and thriving. The team added 18 new prospects over the summer through trades, the draft, and free agency. Ten of those new players cracked these rankings, giving Chicago as deep a prospect pool as the team has had in recent memory.

As many as 12 prospects in the top 20 will be playing pro hockey this season, giving the Blackhawks plenty of options over the next couple seasons and bestowing a talented core of prospects to their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs.

Top 20 at a glance:

  1. [*:3exzjzro] (1) Dylan Olsen 7.5C

    [*:3exzjzro] (2) Kyle Beach 7.5C

    [*:3exzjzro] (3) Nick Leddy 7.5C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Viktor Stalberg 7.5C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Kevin Hayes 7.5C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Ivan Vishnevskiy 7.5C

    [*:3exzjzro] (4) Shawn Lalonde 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Jeremy Morin 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (5) Marcus Kruger 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (7) Brandon Pirri 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Jimmy Hayes 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (6) Jack Skille 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Ludvig Rensfeldt 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (8) Igor Makarov 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Justin Holl 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Stephen Johns 7.0C

    [*:3exzjzro] (10) Brian Connelly 6.5B

    [*:3exzjzro] (NR) Chris DiDomenico 7.0D

Only the Top 8 from the Hawks last HF 20 player review even made it this time. All I'll say is apparently there is NO love for Olimb over at HF.

Olsen at 1?, after watching him in college and at prospects camp he's lucky to even make that list. Lalonde at 7, really, thats unbelievable.

I saw him last summer at prospects camp and he looked to be a quite talented player. I wasn't able to make it his year so I can't say if he just stalled or regressed.

I've seen alot of Olsen over the last several years....approx. 50 games.

I see him as an excellent prospect and #1 is not to far off in my books.

That's good to hear. I'd figure him to eventually be a Seabrook type Defender. Although I've only seen him play a handful of games.

Nice to see ya around there Leo!

There's only one name on that list I don't know... who is Justin Holl?

Drafted in the 2nd round this past year -- I believe it was with our Toronto pick 54th overall, pretty good offensive d-man, I liked the pick a lot paired with the pick of Stephen Johns.

Couple things wrong with that list: Jeremy Morin is too low, Kyle Beach is too high, Brandon Pirri too low, Viktor Stalberg too high, Vishnevskiy too high... Olsen is probably top 3 but not #1... I'd put Leddy #1.
