Actually it is starting to make perfect sense. OP sees himself as a lesser Mustipher as a writer.

OP is defending paying people for poor performance, as if bad experience and failure should count positively instead of costing someone their job.

In all honestly, OP is right. Sam Mustipher really shouldn't have been allowed to walk.

Poles should have shot out both his knees and crippled him before letting him leave the franchise, so he couldn't hurt anyone else.
