Thought it'd be cool to explain the meaning(if any) behind your username. Mine's pretty simple. Living in Lexington, KY my friends started calling me The CHI guy because I'm usually always wearing some Chicago gear or talking about it in some way. So TheCHIguy. What about you guys?

Sufjan Stevens has an album called EnjoyYourRabbit, which is like an electronica album that basically puts the Chinese zodiac into music. It's hard to explain. But my favorite song on the album is The Year of the Tiger, so that's where I got my name from.

Nice. I always wondered about your name. I thought at first you might be a Detroit Tigers fan. Haha

Mine is a childhood nickname because I use to "Scoot" down the stairs...it went away when I became 6-7 or so...but then came back in middle school when this guy I became friends with would always refer to me as "Scoot" ...other people started calling me it as well, and as I never had a problem with the nickname so I adapted it and its stuck. Now hardly anyone calls me it anymore though. So it mainly just sticks on these forums.

Nope I hate all Tigers teams. Auburn, LSU, Mizzou (I FUCKING HATE MIZZOU), Detroit, etc.

I adopted the name "X-Factor" when I was on a previous board...It seemed like a good user-name for a sports msg board, and it's easily shortened to "X". I also like at least thinking I can make off the wall arguments that are legit...and when I made the name ESPN was running a football special on X-Factors for the NFL season ('06 or so) that weren't names you expected to hear. Just kind of all fit together at once.

/lame story.

I was reading a newspaper article on rejected dictionary words, and Crystallas caught my eye. It was once used in a book the defined the center of the universe, metaphorically. In a nutshell, you are always in the center of your own universe at all times, and to each person, they have their own center of their universe. Hence, individualism. Within this book, their were a few strange terms that came up and crystallas was a specific word to define the experience of rewards that came from patience.
I have no idea if the word was ever resubmitted to any of the major dictionary editors for reconsideration, but I don't care. I have always liked the word, and it has been my handle since 1987-88. Before that, I used MurderKillz(Imagine this in the 80s in ascii looking like the Metallica logo on a green monotone 12" monitor) for a few years, and that messed with a lot of heads, because some people read the nick for it's catch words, and some people read it as the phrase together.

Mine is obvious

And sadly yours will probably apply forever.

(I consider myself a bandwagon baseball fan..so I have no allegiance to either team and will root for either in the postseason)

Yeap.. figured I could have one that would probably not need to change in awhile.
