"5-2" that's true. We'll have some serious collapse ability against base.

Fangio is the bomb...too bad we'll be lucky to keep this coaching staff together past this season, cause he's probably gona be a top HC candidate again soon, and when Gase becomes the first OC to get the something respectable outa Cutler he's easily gona nab HC job, probably next year.

Nice to watch an interview with an actual DC, rather than that big eared dumbo.

Smart, down to Earth, and leaves me with the impression that he knows how to use different combinations of players to get THE, his alignments, JOB done.
He admits it was just a "gut" feeling to come to Chicago and Fox was essentially the reason. ( Pace strikes again )

Hahaha If we have that gooda year, I'd take it......... means playoffs for sure and possibly more. Incredible one year turnaround for a storied franchise.

Way to ruin a thread about us having some legit coordinators with your negativity.

It's just nice to hear a real DC talk about our defense and how he'll use his players to get the very best out of the abilities that each one has. I think he understands that he doesn't have everything he needs right now to be a top defense next year but i trust he'll get everything he can out of the players he does have and we have a whole lotta money coming off the books after next year and another draft to get it right.

Let me guess as a kid you did not enjoy the last day or two of vacation because you were getting all bummed about having to go back home.

Asked what he liked about Goldman

"Big and strong. We don't think he's going to get pushed back into our linebackers, which is job one for all three down lineman."

Lol relax guys...I didnt mean to piss in your cereal. Didnt realize I came across so negative... while I dont expect the staff to stay together long Im gona enjoy the hell out of it while it lasts. Hopefully they get a culture of winning going in this orginization and it wont matter who they bring in next.

“He did well in the minicamp we had here, and I think he was excited about it,” Fangio said, via ESPN.com. “Like I told him, I think he can have a rebirth to his career here playing a little bit of a new position. But in the NFL today, you play more nickel than you actually play base. For some teams they play nickel 65 to 75 percent of the time. He’ll be playing his normal position then. So it’s not as drastic of a change as you might think.”

Allen will play the Justin Smith DE role on nickel. Nobody is really realizing this.
Both are built the same, Allen is younger.
