Career numbers of Dunn
beckham being ALOT better
Peavy not getting hurt
Sale being ok first year starter

^^^ those have to be there

Pitching and defense are the weak points for Detroit. If their lineups stay healthy they will have to win 7-5 games minus the Verlander starts.

MLB Network ranked the Top 10 DHs in the MLB today and have Dunn at #9. They're expecting a bounce back year for him in a big way. I sure hope they're right.

Rios too.

Tigers probably aren't the 100+ win team everyone gives them credit for because their rotation (after Verlander) and defense are terrible. They have a good pen, but I imagine after yanking Scherzer, Porcello, Oliver and Fister after the 5th inning night after night will probably put strain on the pen.

Probably both. Tougher pitchers in the AL than the NL. The first year Frank Thomas DH'd his numbers sank. Plus he wasn't really the same since the appendectomy.

Him not being in the field everyday really hurt his approach at the plate IMO. That and adjusting to being in the AL both hurt his stats in 2011.
