I got an extra copy of Blur and Green Day Rock Band for the Xbox 360 and I'm doing a little contest for it.

With all the Rock Band 3 news today I wrote a blog post on how I would like to see Prince finally allow his music to be in a music game.

For the contest I'm just asking people who they would like to see (band or solo artist) in a music game. Rock Band or Guitar Hero.

You can post your answer on my blog.
http://blogs.suburbanchicagonews.com/games/2010/06/prince_would_be_perfect_for_rock_band_3.html

I have to approve all comments before they post, so don't worry if your post does not show up right away.

I'll leave the contest open for a few days and I'll pick the best post. The winner will receive Blur and Green Day Rock Band for the Xbox 360.

Sorry, no extra PS3 games. But don't let that stop you from taking part. If you're a PS3 owner, and you win, you can always trade them in.

led zeppelin rock band should come with a minnie game where you get really high and pick up chicks. In stead of rating you performance as good or bad, it'd be golden god/average.

personally, i listen to nothing besides rockabilly and punk rock. i'm not sure if rockband is my cup of tea. i guess the best i could hope for is social distortion.

Even tough Mark and J-Mart had some good ideas, I went with Darren as the winner with his idea for Zeppelin RB.

Mark, I hope they do the Stones for you eventually. They can recreate Altamont.

I'll be doing another one of these contest. When i do, I'll post it.

KUSH! I'm heart broken! It's ok, I just got a real guitar. I realized yesterday that every Green Day song is composed of about 3 chords so I am well on my way to mastering their entire catalog! :)

Dang! I didn't see this thread quick enough. I would've suggested a Pink Floyd Rock Band because Rock is all about self-indulgence & what's more self-indulgent than Prog Rock. I would def throw down $60 for that.

When I heard there would be a Green Day Rock Band my first thought was: Good God Why? I liked Green Day, in '94, but since Dookie every album & almost every song is exactly the same. Mark's not kidding, every song is 3 chords. Which begs the question again: Why make an entire game based on their banal, unchallenging catalogue? Harmonix really messed up on this one. It's obvious they just wanted to churn out something quick for 14-25yr olds but following up the Beatles RB (which had issues but was loads of fun & had tons of variety) with Green Day is like having Michael Bay present Francois Truffaut with a lifetime achievement award.

LOL, oh yeah. Be sure to shout 1-2-3-4 before you start any song.

Pink Floyd. tat would be interesting.

I like Green Day. Everyone says their songs all sound the same. They don't. That just seems to be the default line people throw out there. Similar to Scottie Pippen fell off in 1999. Not true and not true.

The game is challenging. I play on expert and some of the songs are pretty tough. I failed a couple the first play through.
