From what I've heard, Waterfox is a similar browser to firefox, only w/ greater optimization/speed capabilities. Anyone used it?

Waterfox is just a 64-bit build of firefox.

If you're using windows on a modern system, try Palemoon. Import your firefox profile and settings if you like how your firefox is set up with the migration tool.

You'll have to explain it a little better to me, lol

Its 32 bit vs 64

Basically it means firefox (32 bit) only uses 1 processor even if you have dual or quad cpu.

64 bit software is supposed to be able to use more than one processor at a time. Sounds great, but from what I have seen, they often don't really achieve that much of a performance boost.
