Somewhere, sometime, the Halas family must have pissed off the football Gods, and we are paying for it. We have been cursed with mediocrity, Ryan Pace, Sweaty Teddy, Cade Mcnown, Rex Grossman, Kyle Orton, Trubisky and the list goes on. Chicago is where QB's go to die. While Dalton may be a great leader, accurate passer, fantastic teammate he has come to take us right back to where we have been, that sweet spot of Mediocrity, of being too good to get a high draft pick, (Which Pace would screw up anyway) and bad enough to lose in the first round of the playoffs. We are screwed. I have been calling for Pace's firing for years, (since he drafted trubs) and now he brings us Dalton, who I desperately want to be that QB to come in and saves us from that loathsome place, I know in my heart of hearts he will probably lead us into another first round loss in the playoffs. Sigh.

Man, you guys are really a down-and-out fanbase. I have been lurking on a Bengals board for years, following AD, and I thought those guys had it bad.

Seriously, you guys are maybe as negative as that Bengals fan base, and that's saying something. You may remember the Bengals are the team that, years ago, wasn't even springing for new jock straps and socks for the players! Crazy.

Surely the Bears are a better franchise than the garbage in Cincy. I can tell you that the outside world tends to think pretty highly of the Bears. Storied franchise, awesome stadium, great major market city, and really just without a good QB leader for way too long.

I hope AD is that guy. We will soon find out. Maybe don't dig his grave before he even puts on the jersey.

Our Bear ownership doesn't give a damn about getting ppl in here who have a track of building playoff and or SB bound teams. Our Bear ownership doesn't give a damn about winning SB's. And who they hire always shows it.

here's the problem I have with dalton 0-4. ONE damn TD in 4 playoff games. Hell at least Mitch had 2Tds and 0 ints in 2 playoff games

Dalton will be 34 years old in October...and is 0-4 in playoffs, torn hand/thumb ligaments through-out his career with a recent major concussion and had the balls to sign a deal with Bears. The more I read and remember about Dalton the more worse it gets.

I think I remember the concussion, but damn, not all that other stuff. And, to think I was arguing with someone recently over
R. Wilson's durability.

Check it out........

Wilson is a baller, he's mobile enough to avoid contact, Andy not so much, Plus Wilson works out and works on his body and strength, Andy doesn't. Plus guys like Brady changed his routine if you're gonna be thinking of that.
Andy doesnt gets the ball out fast enough either or move when he should.

No.....I was for Wilson in the posts, not against him. The other person was questioning how long Wilson would last, not me.
The context is the irony of it all. I'm arguing with OP in those posts (I listed) for Wilson possibly coming here and we end up with a no $$$ game winning, injury prone Qb like dalton. Hell dalton was so worthless, he indirectly got J.Jones to pay
Prescott 140m. :ROFLMAO: On YT.....ppl around the country are all laughing at us.

Agreed....
I know. And Wilson is very smart. But if u read any of those posts Aesopian was giving me some push back on Wilson. The irony is we end up with a guy who's injury prone and chokes in $$$$$ games. ?

I'm still trying to figure out....what was the vetting and evaluation process for signing DOLTon.
