I see a lot of people who assume he will end up in Cleveland. It that were an automatic, why has he arrived at a point where he's a free agent? He could have done a deal any time prior to that and avoided all the questions about his future.
He might end up in Cleveland, but it seems likely, hell do some looking around.
With that in mind, Chicago has as much or more to offer than anyone. They maximize his appeal just as does NY. But Chicago offers him the best long term and immediate chance to win multiple titles with 2 significant pieces in place in Rose and Noah. Plus, look at how he is changing his # from a # that is retired in Chicago to one that isnt.
I could be wrong and it really boils down to his own preference. Maybe he simply likes NY THAT MUCH and maybe he wants to be to NY what Jordan and Kobe were to Chicago and LA. But when you look at it, Chicago makes a lot of sense.
