Does anyone else get the sense that this team is a bit like the 2006 Bears that went the Superbowl. Of course, we had a better coach in Lovie Smith back then. But I fell like Rex Grosssman might be a tad better than our "Frisky One" Trubsiky. I'm not much of a "stat junkie" but I think we ran a lot better back in 2006 also??

Say what you want about Lovie "La Cucaracha" Smith but at least he got us to the Super Bowl. I admit he was never too good at throwing the flag to review calls though.

We got off the bus running.

But don't bother looking at stats. The NFL is so vastly different in terms of running the ball vs passing because of rules changes, that it is fruitless to try and compare.

I really wanted to see our wide receivers would perform last Sunday night but they never got a chance.

It's just my opinion of decades of watching the NFL and playing various Pop Warner football leagues as a kid. I'm a ranked player on John Maddon football as well!!

I think this team is closer to the '84 Bears.
Great defense, limited offense.
